Endeavour Ridge College is a Years 7–12 college built on one conviction: that university, trades, employment, leadership, community and life are six equally serious answers to the question of what comes after school — and that a school's job is to help every student find their answer, then build toward it without apology.
We were founded in 1978 on the site of a technical college, on the condition that real trades stayed on campus beside the academic classrooms. We have never stopped being both. Ambition here is not a leaderboard; it is a named mentor, a marked trail, and a school that measures itself by how far every student travels on their own path.

How we teach
Structure behind every path
The Futures Program
From the start of Year 9, every student is paired with a named staff mentor who stays with them through to graduation — whichever of the six pathways they're building toward. A metalwork teacher might mentor a future medical student. That's deliberate.
Academic results here are strong and stated plainly when families ask — but no pathway is the “real” one. A pre-apprenticeship placement and a university early-entry offer appear in the same newsletter paragraph, at the same length, with the same pride.
Senior students support younger ones through the Futures Program's early stages — cross-year mentoring is structured school life here, not an occasional initiative. By Year 12, most students have been on both sides of it.
A Tuesday in the middle of term, chosen at random. No carnival, no assembly, no photographer’s brief — just the school, running the way it runs when nobody is watching.

The library corner opens before the day officially does. Nobody asked them to be here — the lights were on, so they came.
12:47 pm
The covered walkway does most of the school’s socialising. Between classes there is no agenda at all — and for eleven minutes, nobody is building toward anything.
3:56 pm
A result lands, and it is opened quietly before the bus. The celebrating is done by the friend — that is how it works here.

Renshaw Timber & Joinery
Pre-apprenticeship placements from Year 10, run through The Engine Shed — four of last year's cohort now hold full apprenticeships there.
Tools down at 6pm — come and smell the sawdust before enrolment interviews begin. Mentors, senior students and the trades team will all be at the benches.
The Ridge Run — every March, every student, no finishing order
Four point two kilometres from the school gate to The Outlook, walked or run in mixed-age groups. Every student who arrives receives the same enamel trail pin — first or last. Staff walk it too.
The Engine Shed — the original 1950s workshop, still the loudest building on campus
The technical college's largest workshop, preserved when Endeavour Ridge was founded on this site in 1978. Timber, metal, automotive and the makerspace — treated with the same seriousness as any laboratory.
