Updating your Privacy Policy

Each website is provided with a privacy policy. This privacy policy has been set up to be generic as possible in order to make it universal for all accounts, regardless of the purpose for the website. By having this privacy policy on your website, you’re also liable to maintain the rules and practises set with the policy. Please ensure that those associated with the maintenance of your Schoolzine account have read the policy and are aware of the requirements.

If your organisation disagrees with the statements within the policy, you have the ability to change some of the wording, or change the policy entirely.

Legacy Templates

If you own a legacy account the following steps are required for changing the policy.

  1. Go to Settings > Manage Tags
  2. Create a new Tag with the following properties:
    • Name: Privacy Content
    • Value: privacy-content
    • Tag Availability: Content Holders
    • All other settings can be left as default or changed to what you require.
  3. Go to Content > Content Holders
  4. Create a new Content Holder
  5. Use the following settings for your content holder:
    • Name: Privacy Policy
    • Title: Privacy Policy
    • Status: Active
    • Tags: Privacy Content
  6. Add the new content for your privacy policy into the content editor.
(Note: If you wish to update the current policy with wording changes, copy the current policy into the content holder and make your required changes)
  7. Save the content holder once completed.
  8. Review the Privacy Policy on your site. Our system recognises the tag ‘Privacy Content’ and has updated the content holder automatically with the new content holder made.
